Master, speak! Thy servant heareth,
Waiting for Thy gracious word,
Longing for Thy voice that cheereth
Master, let it now be heard.
I am listening, Lord, for Thee;
What hast Thou to say to me?
Master, speak! though least and lowest,
Let me not unheard depart;
Master, speak! for O Thou knowest
All the yearning of my heart.
Knowest all its truest need;
Speak! and make me blest indeed.
Master, speak! and make me ready,
When Thy voice is truly heard,
With obedience glad and steady,
Still to follow every word
I am listening, Lord, for Thee:
Master, speak, O speak to me!
Speak to me by name, O Master,
Let me know it is to me;
Speak, that I may follow faster,
With a step more firm and free,
Where the Shepherd leads the flock
In the shadow of the rock.

Thoughts on Faith
The word "faith" is only found twice in the Old Testament:
Deuteronomy 32:20 "I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be : for they are a very forward generation, children in whom is no faith."
Habakuk 2:4 "Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith."
The first verse tells of those who have no faith, are not just and who will not live. The second verse tells of those who have faith, are just and shall live.
The blessedness of faith!

Stand On Guard, Crown Him
"And the guard stood, every man with his weapons in his hand, round about the king...
and put the crown upon him."
2 Kings 11:11-12
*And so we gather around our King, the Lord Jesus Christ and we defend the honour of His Name. We crown Him and let everyone know that
He is King of kings and Lord of lords.
"All hail the power of Jesus' name!
Let angels prostrate fall;
Bring forth the royal diadem
And crown Him Lord of all!"
- Edward Perronet
"And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life."
Job 2:6
"And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand."
John 10:28
*When it came to the trials of his life, Job was in Satan's hand to be afflicted...but when it came to the salvation of his life, Job was in the hand of God alone. Whatever he may touch in our lives, Satan can NOT touch our souls. Why? Because he will never be able to snatch away that soul from the hand of the Lord Jesus Christ.
